Ughidane Assembly Throw Their Weight Behind POI/MGA of APC, Rally for Support in Ward 1

Youths and Women under the aegis of Ughidane Assembly of Ward1 in Auchi Sacred Kingdom went round on a rally to garner support for the candidates of the All Progressives Congress on Wednesday in Auchi.

In view of the oncoming Edo 2020 Guba polls, Ward1 Youths of Etsako West Local Government Area took to the streets to affirm their support and rally more votes for Pastor Osaigie Ize-Iyamu and Mallam Gani Audu who are the flagbearers of the APC.

They sold the Christian/Muslim Ticket to all and sundry stressing the fact that the candidacy of the APC represents the interests of the Edo people as the party has deemed it fit to accommodate both religions which has not been the case for some decades now.

Led by Aliu Abdulrazak, Idalu Ismail and Jimoh Zekeri as Chairman, Secretary and P.R.O respectively, the body  had in its midst the Likes of Prince Cheleman Momoh, Prince Abduljelil (Chop-Small), Prince Muhammed Kadiri (D.A.), Prince Abdullah Ikharo, Musa Aliyu, Sir Braimah Bello and a host of other popular faces amongst the youths of Ughidane Community of Auchi’s Ward 1 in Etsako West Local Government Area.

As the canvassing and rallying ensued, the group was joined by Hon. Some-One the Deputy Chairman of APC in Etsako West LGA, Alhaji Abubakar Akokhia the Chairman of the Party in Etsako West as well as the Uloko of Auchi Sacred Kingdom, Hon. Yakubu Oshierenoya (Yakson) the former Chairman of Etsako West Local Government Council.

Speaking on the choice of the All Progressives Congress’ candidates, Alh. Akokhia stated that the Christian-Muslim Ticket of the party does not only stand as an all inclusive decision but more so, the party believes in the works of Mallam Gani Audu who once served as Etsako West Local Government Council Chairman for 7years and the personality of Pastor Osaigie Ize-Iyamu who helped in the formative stages of the APC to grow and blossom into a formidable force.

“POI is a party man who helped the APC in the beginning to become a great party in Edo state. MGA on the other hand has a lot of projects to show in all the 12wards of Etsako West when he was chairman and that’s why today we have chosen to support them because we believe they’ll do better.

I want you people to know that Pastor Osaigie Ize-Iyamu is not a new comer, he is one of the foundation members of the APC. When we were putting this party together, he was the state’s party deputy chairman who contributed in putting this great party together that we are enjoying today

Our campaign is a simple agenda. We brought in Obaseki and Philip Shuaibu before but today we have decided to bring them down because they have brought the party down.” Said Alh. Akokhia.

The group was also welcomed by the former chairman of Etsako West LG council, Hon. Yakson. He lauded the initiative of the Ughidane Youths for embarking on a movement that has in its agenda an unflinching support for the APC and the POI/MGA ticket.

“I thank the youths of Ughidane for this road show and for their initiative to start this and we are calling on the youths of other villages to emulate what is being done now…

…I just finished having a meeting with my people in Aibotse and I’m assured of their total support for the APC’s flagbearers in the coming Sept. 19th Edo Guba Election…” he said.
