A group of women and young men from Auchi Sacred Kingdom have under the aegis of Concerned APC Members gone round town on Thursday to register their interest on the need for a peaceful conduct of Edo2020 Guber polls.
Headed by Abdulrazak Aliyu, the Concerned APC Members presented a letter of petition to the Auchi Divisional Headquarter's Area Command stating that the police must play a non-partisan role of being fair to all actors in the political spectrum.
They decried incessant attacks on members of the APC in the region by thugs and condemned what they called police partiality on the matter. Speaking on the matter, Prince Nimble Momoh appealed to the Nigerian Police to up their game by being the enforcer of the law on any erring person, party or body and not resort to being bias in her operations.
The group also voiced their interest in the need for peace, sane and safe play of the game in view of the fact that life continues after elections. This was stated and reiterated by Prince Bello Ibrahim who said, "we are all related by blood somehow and for this reason we are calling on our brothers, sisters, fathers and mothers in all other parties to embrace peace because at the end of all these, we will still come together as one."
