Aidokhai age group, a prominent age group in Auchi Sacred Kingdom that was initiated into manhood in the year 2000 has constructed and presented for Community use, a Town Hall Project to mark her 20th Year Anniversary.
Auchi was agog with fanfare and pageantry when the project was handed over to the Auchi Community in a brief ceremony on the 9th of January 2021. With excitement and lips full of prayers, the Otaru-in-Council led by the Otaru of Auchi, Alhaji A. H. Momoh, Ikelebe III and supported by his eminent chiefs commissioned the project and declared it to the glory of God and benefit to mankind.
The befitting edifice which was fully funded by members of Aidokhai age group has shown that with commitment and dedication, great things could be achieved.
Worthy of mention is that the name Aidokhai signifies valour _a trademark of men with the bravery of warriors as they have set the pace for other age groups in Auchi to emulate. They continue to live by their name and ethos in contributing positively to the development of Auchi.
This is the same Aidokhai Age Group that in the past tasked itself with the responsibility of keeping the major roads and streets in Auchi clean and environmentally sustainable.
The Town hall is situated where the old Colonial Court popularly called Najah stood for decades.

It is safe to say that in Auchi Sacred Kingdom, culture is not just a way of life, it is more so, a tool for community development and national growth. The kingdom continues to make advancement on all fronts including from one of its long-standing and preserved cultural practice _ the age-group system where young men who have attained manhood are initiated as members into adulthood with the responsibilities to make decisions for the development of the community.

According to folktale, the age group tradition dates back to the 14th Century with the people who occupy the present location of Auchi. Uchi, the head of the Auchi community at the time of inception found it imperative to establish a standing army of young and virile men who could be called upon in times of wars for protection or communal activities.
The various age groups are characterized by their uniqueness or societal events that occur at the time of their initiation. Most age groups go on to live such uniqueness throughout their lifetime, whilst others get enveloped by other more interesting activities in the society. These army of young men have continued to take responsibilities in the administration, security, sanitary and every other communal activity that contributes to the development of Auchi Sacred Kingdom.
